Conditions of Sale
Each Morley Auctioneers & Valuers sale is conducted under the terms announced with that auction. By registering to bid, in the room or online, you accept those terms together with the conditions below.
Buyer’s premium
A buyer’s premium of 24% (including VAT) is added to the hammer price of each lot. Where you bid through a third-party online platform, that platform may add its own separate bidding surcharge.
Bidding & condition
You must be a registered bidder to take part. All lots are sold as-is; descriptions are offered as a guide and we recommend viewing on the Wednesday or Thursday before the sale, or requesting a condition report, before bidding. Bids are binding and the auctioneer’s decision is final.
Payment
We accept cash, card and bank transfer. Payment is due before or at the time of collection.
Collection & postage
Lots may be collected from our rooms at Alexandra Mills on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday, 10am to 4pm; there are no collections on Sunday. We offer an in-house packing and shipping service for many smaller lots — request a quote once you receive your invoice — or you may arrange your own pack-and-wrap courier.
Selling with us
Seller’s terms are £3 per lot and 21.5% commission (including VAT), with payment made within 21 working days of the sale by bank transfer.
